CEX.IO Prime Treasury
Crypto treasury management for corporates
Hold, convert and settle crypto and stablecoins on one account. From execution to reporting, your whole treasury runs through a single regulated counterparty.

What crypto treasury management is
Crypto treasury management is how a company holds, moves and grows the digital assets on its balance sheet. It covers where the assets sit, how you convert between them, how you settle in fiat and crypto, and how you report all of it. On CEX.IO Prime, that runs on one account, through a single counterparty.
One account for the whole treasury
CEX.IO Prime is a single infrastructure layer. It aggregates institutional crypto liquidity and adds what a business needs to operate on it, so one platform covers execution, custody, settlement, payments and reporting. You hold one account, sign one agreement and integrate once. A dedicated account manager and a 24/7 institutional desk stay available throughout.

Who runs their treasury on Prime
More than 1,000 institutional clients run on CEX.IO Prime: funds, brokers and exchanges, payment institutions, banks, OTC desks, treasury and trading firms, and fintechs. For a corporate treasury, that is one counterparty for holding, converting and settling digital assets, configured to your assets, rails, limits and controls at onboarding.

How treasury runs on Prime
Fund one account, operate every function from the same balances, and reconcile from one set of records.

Fund and hold
Fund one Prime account in fiat or crypto. Your balances sit in institutional custody, segregated across the sub-accounts you define, one per entity, desk or purpose.

Execute and convert
Trade, convert or request a quote through Prime Liquidity, or work a large block with your account manager. Orders route across 15+ trading venues and return as one consolidated fill.

Settle and report
Settle in fiat over SEPA, SEPA Instant, Faster Payments and SWIFT, or in crypto across 60+ networks, the same day. Every operation posts to one ledger, ready for finance and audit.
What you can run on Prime
The same account supports several treasury models. Combine the ones your business needs, with sub-accounts carrying the separation where a model calls for it.
Trading and conversion treasury
Buy, sell, convert and hold digital assets on one account. Pick the route that fits each operation, from the live order book to a fixed price, a quote, or an assisted block.
Stablecoin operating treasury
Hold part of your working capital in stablecoins, convert in and out as obligations fall due, and settle faster across regions with less currency friction.
Cross-border settlement
Move value over SEPA, SEPA Instant, Faster Payments and SWIFT, or on-chain across 60+ networks, and settle the same day rather than waiting on correspondent banking.
Supplier and counterparty payments
Pay counterparties from your balance, instantly to another Prime client or on-chain to a whitelisted external wallet, with every payment on one reconciled record.
Multi-entity treasury
Run entities, desks or strategies as separate sub-accounts under one relationship, each with its own balances, controls and reporting.
Treasury reporting backbone
Use Prime as your system of record. Every operation posts to one ledger, and you pull account and sub-account statements into your own accounting and audit, by portal or API.

FAQ
What is crypto treasury management?
Crypto treasury management is how a company holds, converts, settles and reports the digital assets on its balance sheet. On CEX.IO Prime you run all of it on one account, through a single counterparty, rather than stitching together an exchange, a custodian and a payments partner.
How does crypto treasury management work on CEX.IO Prime?
You fund one Prime account in fiat or crypto, hold balances in custody across sub-accounts, execute and convert through Prime Liquidity, settle in fiat and crypto, and pull statements and reports from one ledger. Every operation lands on the same balances and the same records.
Where are our assets held, and how are they secured?
Balances are held in institutional custody and segregated across your sub-accounts. Withdrawals go to whitelisted addresses under single, dual or threshold approvals, with role-based access on the account. CEX.IO sets out the custody model and controls in detail during onboarding.
Which execution methods can we use?
Four methods run on one account. The order book takes market and limit orders against aggregated depth. RFQ returns an agreed price before you commit, which suits larger tickets. Instant Convert fixes a price for a short window and triangulates through an intermediate asset where no direct pair exists. Assisted OTC execution puts your account manager on large or negotiated blocks. Every method settles on the same account.
Can we hold and settle in stablecoins?
Yes. You can convert fiat into stablecoins, hold the balance on Prime, and convert back to fiat or move it on-chain when you settle. Companies use this to keep part of their working capital in stablecoins and settle faster across regions.
Which assets, currencies and networks are supported?
Prime covers 500+ assets, including BTC, ETH and stablecoins, with on-chain settlement across 60+ networks on Layer 1 and Layer 2. Fiat settles in USD, EUR and GBP over SEPA, SEPA Instant, Faster Payments and SWIFT.
How does settlement work, and can we settle fiat and crypto together?
One counterparty settles both sides on the same account, the same day. Fiat moves over SEPA, SEPA Instant, Faster Payments and SWIFT, covering domestic and international wires. Crypto settles on-chain across 60+ networks, so you skip the handoffs between an exchange, a bank and a payment partner.
How do we connect, and does Prime support FIX?
Yes. Prime supports FIX 4.4 for order flow, plus REST and WebSocket for trading, market data and account state, and Webhooks to push events into your own systems. A web terminal covers manual work. Your team integrates and tests in a sandbox before CEX.IO issues production keys, and a 24/7 institutional desk supports the work.
Is CEX.IO Prime regulated?
CEX.IO operates under registrations across several jurisdictions, including a FinCEN MSB registration in the United States, an FCA registration in the United Kingdom, an EU VASP registration, FINTRAC in Canada and a DABL licence in Bermuda. Prime works as a liquidity provider and trades no proprietary book against its clients, so execution stays conflict-free.
How do we get started?
Onboarding runs in three steps. You agree scope, products and limits, complete one onboarding across every venue, then receive configured accounts, production keys and a dedicated desk.
